AMI shocked at the mass shooting in Las Vegas; sympathizes with victims’ families

Washington, D.C. Oct 2, 2017: American Muslim Institution (AMI) has strongly condemned the brutal and senseless mass shooting attack in Las Vegas, which killed more than 50 and injured more than 500 innocent citizens as thousands were attending a country music concert.

“Our hearts go out to the families of victims and all those affected by this horrible act of violence, which is one of the worst shootings in modern U.S. history,” AMI President, Islam Siddiqui, said Monday.

“In this time of tragedy, we believe all Americans need to come together in support of all those affected by this terrible shooting attack,” he added.

American Muslim Institution believes in peaceful coexistence of all American citizens and communities, and advances mutual understanding on national issues through dialogue and conversation.
